Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord. — Lamentations 3:40
Self-examination is good. God-examination is better (Ps. 19:23-24). Will we be courageous enough to ask God to examine us and reveal what He sees?
Let us pray for the Lord to search our lives and reveal to us any sin that is blinding us.
Lord, fill me with a deep desire for holiness and help me to surrender my sinful thoughts and practices. Lord, please help me to confess anger and bitterness, secret sin, and those things which have become an idol in my life. Lord, please restore joy to me in my daily walk with You. Amen!

ReplyDeleteToday I'm am in need of His joy. I've been so caught up in "other things" that I forgot my first love. In that time I made choices that I did not seek God about and the old fear and dread is creeping up in me today. Past feelings (and I know feelings pass) seem to be overwhelming me today. Please be in prayer for me. I hope I haven't given the enemy a foothold, but clearly see today how easily I could have.
