Day 10 of 28 Days of Prayer

Day 10 of 28 Days of Prayer

Hunger for God
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. — Matthew 5:6

Hunger and thirst for God and His righteousness is a gift of God. This is not our default. Add this day as a day of PRAYER AND FASTING to your week.

Let us fast and pray, asking God to give us a hunger and thirst for Him.

Lord, help me long after You and Your Word as the deer longs for water in the desert (Psalm 42). Lord, show me how satisfying Your Word is to my soul as I read it today. Help me feast on Your words all day long. AMEN!

Day 9 of 28 Days of Prayer

Day 9 of 28 Days of Prayer

Spend Time in Silence

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. — Psalm 23:1-3

When was the last time you enjoyed time with the Lord when it was quiet? God promises to refresh your soul. Seek quiet, be still and listen.

Let us set aside time to be with and be still before the Lord.

Lord, quiet my soul so that I can hear Your voice. Help me to put some margin in my life so that I can be quiet before You. Lord, I need to experience Your glorious presence. Help me be in awe of You in order to just listen and praise You in silence. AMEN!

Day 8 of 28 Days of Prayer

Day 8 of 28 Days of Prayer

Where Would Jesus Go?

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. — Matthew 28:19-20

Jesus’ ministry is a going ministry. Where should your personal life be going? Let us ask the Lord to open doors for us to make disciples.

Lord, help me to go to those who are in desperate need of hearing the truth of the Gospel because they sure are not going to come to me! Lord, help me to get to know my neighbor next door, to pray for them and to care about their life and their struggles. AMEN!

Day 7 of 28 Days of Prayer

Day 7 of 28 Days of Prayer

Penetrate Hearts
. . .because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake.—1 Thessalonians 1:5

Remember that God draws lost souls to Himself. He invites us to seek and knock and watch and pray. Take courage—share the Gospel message.

Let us pray for a confidence and conviction in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Lord, please give me a renewed burden for the lost and the desire and courage to share the truth of Jesus with them. Lord, lead me to those who are being drawn to You. I pray for (pray for those who are lost by name). AMEN!

Day 6 of 28 days of Prayer

Day 6 of 28 days of Prayer

Pray Hard, Live Hopeful
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. — Romans 12:12

Are you losing hope that God can do a mighty work in your life or in our church? God is always on the move! Don’t quit now . . . keep on praying!

Let us pray hope-filled prayers today. Ask God to help us expect much, be patient for His action, and be hopeful for a renewed time of rejoicing.

Lord, help me to pray even when I think the prayer goes unanswered for a very long time. You are answering according to Your will and I will trust You. Lord, I worship and praise You as the all-knowing and all-powerful God of the universe. Thank You for hearing my prayers and answering them in Your time and in Your way. AMEN!

Day 5 of 28 Days of Prayer

Day 5 of 28 Days of Prayer

Press On

. . . we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. — Rom 5:3-4

God brings suffering into our lives for His purposes. Trust God will accomplish His purposes through your pain, failure, and disappointment. His presence and power will enable you to persevere through your circumstances.

Let us pray the Lord will give us a persevering hope rooted in God’s power to accomplish His purpose.

Lord, I want to be devoted to You. Help me! Help me to look beyond my circumstances and fill my heart with love for You. Father, please help me to become more like Jesus. I truly desire to emulate His character and be the man/woman that You desire. AMEN!

Day 4 of 28 Days of Prayer

Day 4 of 28 Days of Prayer

Lord Begin With Me

Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord. — Lamentations 3:40

Self-examination is good. God-examination is better (Ps. 19:23-24). Will we be courageous enough to ask God to examine us and reveal what He sees?

Let us pray for the Lord to search our lives and reveal to us any sin that is blinding us.

Lord, fill me with a deep desire for holiness and help me to surrender my sinful thoughts and practices. Lord, please help me to confess anger and bitterness, secret sin, and those things which have become an idol in my life. Lord, please restore joy to me in my daily walk with You. Amen!

Prayer Series ~ 28 Days of what to Pray

Day 3 of 28 Days of Prayer

Trust Him
And to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. — Romans 4:5

Christian belief, faith and trust is objective. The object is a Person—Jesus Christ. Make sure you are trusting in Him and in nothing or no one else.

Let us pray the Lord will increase our faith in Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Lord, help me to be amazed each day at what You are doing in my life and the world to glorify Your Name. Lord, help me to remember the sacrifice You have made for me, a sinner, by suffering and dying on a cross so that I may live. Lord, convict me of areas in my life where I exhibit unbelief. AMEN!

Prayer Series ~ 28 Days of what to Pray

Day 2 of 28 Days of Prayer

Pray Until He Comes

For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. —Isaiah 62:1

Do you long to see a bright ray of righteousness and a flaming torch of salvation among the people at your church? Prayer precedes revival!

Let us pray the Holy Spirit will convict the family of God at your church of sin, helping us to hate ungodliness and helping us to love obedience. Lord, set my tongue on fire so that I do not remain quiet. Let me be bold with those in my sphere of influence to share the Good News. Lord, I pray for the lost until Jesus comes. Make this a burden on my heart each and every day.

Prayer Series ~ 28 Days of what to Pray

Day 1 of 28 Days of Prayer

Raise the Battle Cry

He arrived at the perimeter of the camp as the army was marching out to its battle formation shouting their battle cry. —1 Samuel 17:20

We must awaken. God is calling us from t
he comfort of our couches. Prayer engages us in the arena of spiritual battle. The battle is not ours; it is God’s.

Let us pray for humility, courage, awareness, alertness, perseverance and vigilance. Lord, use me as You see fit. Help me to carry out the orders that You have for me. Lord, help me to be consistent in these 28 days. I do not want to let my fellow soldiers in this battle down because I did not pray. Lord, guide me to thoughts, motivations and words of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer Series ~ Day 19

DAY 19

WHAT TO PRAY: For The Holy Spirit On Christiendom

2 Timothy 3:5
5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Revelation 3:1
1And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

There are five hundred millions of nominal Christians. The state of the majority is unspeakably awful. Formality, worldliness, ungodliness, rejection of Christ's service, ignorance, and indifference--to what an extent does all this prevail. We pray for the heathen--oh! do let us pray for those bearing Christ's name, many in worse than heathen darkness.

Does not one feel as if one ought to begin to give up his life and to cry day and night to God for souls? In answer to prayer, God gives the power of the Holy Ghost

HOW TO PRAY: In Deep Stillness Of Soul

Psalm 62:1
1Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation
.
Prayer has its power in God alone. The nearly a man comes to God Himself, the deeper he enters into God's will; the more he takes hold of God, the more power in prayer.

God must reveal Himself. If it please Him to make Himself known, He can make the heart conscious of His presences. Our pasture must be that of holy reverence, of quiet waiting and adoration.

As your month of intercession passes on, and you feel the greatness of your work, be still before God. Thus you will get power of pray.

Prayer Series ~ Day 18

DAY 18

WHAT TO PRAY: For Peace

I Timothy 2:1-3

1Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
2I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
3And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

Psalm 46:9
9He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

What a terrible sight!--the military armaments in which the nations find their pride. What a terrible thought!--the evil passions that may at any moment bring on war. And what a prospect the suffering and desolation that must come. God can, in answer to the prayer of His people, give peace. Let us pray for it and for the rule of righteousness on which alone it can be stablished

HOW TO PRAY: With The Understanding

I Corinthians 14:15
15What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

We need to pray with the spirit. as the vehicle of the intercession of God's Spirit, if we are to take hold of God in faith and power. We need to pray with the understanding, if we are really to enter deeply into the needs we bring before Him. Take time to apprehend intelligently, in each subject, the nature, the extent, the urgency of the request, the ground and way and certainly of God's promise as revealed in his Word. Let the mind affect the heart. Pray with the understanding and with the spirit.

Prayer Series ~ Day 17

DAY 17

WHAT TO PRAY: For Kings And Rulers

I Timothy 2:1,2

1I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

What a faith in the power of prayer! A few feeble and despised Christians are to influence the mighty Roman emperors and help in securing peace and quietness. Let us believe that prayer is a power that is taken up by God in His rule of the world. Let us pray for our country and its rulers; for all the rulers of the world; for rulers in cities or districts in which we are interested. When God's people unite in this, they may count upon their prayer effecting in the unseen world morethan they know. Let faith hold this fast.

HOW TO PRAY: The Prayer Before God as Incense

Revelation 8:3-5

3And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
4And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.
5And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

The same censer brings the prayer of the saints before God and cast fire upon the earth. The prayers that go up to heaven have their share in the history of this earth. Be sure that thy prayers enter God's presence.

Prayer Series ~ Day 16

Day 16

WHAT TO PRAY: For The Power Of The Holy Spirit In Our Sabbath Schools

Isaiah 49:25
25But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

Every part of the work of God's church is His work. He must do it. Prayer is the confession that He will, the surrender of ourselves into His hands to let Him work in us and through us. Pray for the hundreds of thousands of Sunday school teachers, that those who know God may be filled with His Spirit. Pray for your own Sunday school. Pray for the salvation of the children.

HOW TO PRAY: Boldly

Hebrews 4:14,16
14Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

These hints to help us in our work of intercession--what are they doing for us? Making us conscious of our feebleness in prayer? Thank God for this. It is the very first lesson we need on the way to pray the effectual prayer that availeth much. Let us persevere, taking each subject boldly to the throne of grace. As we pray we shall learn to pray and to believe and to expect with increasing boldness. Hold fast your assurance: It is God's command you come as an intercessor. Christ will give you grace to pray aright.

Prayer Series ~ Day 15

DAY 15

WHAT TO PRAY: For Schools and Colleges

Isaiah 59:21
21As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.

The future of the church and the world depends, to an extent we little conceive, on the education of the day. The church may be seeking to evangelize the heathen and be giving up her own children to secular and materialistic influences. Pray for schools and colleges, and that the church may realize and fulfill its momentous duty of caring for its children. Pray for godly teachers.

HOW TO PRAY: Not Limiting God

Psalm 78:41
41Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.

Matthew 13:58
58And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Genesis 18:14
14Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Jeremiah 32:17,27
17Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.
27Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

Beware, in your prayer, above everything, of limiting God, not only by unbelief, but by fancying that you know what He can do. Expect unexpected things above all that we ask or think. Each time you intercede, be quiet first and worship God in His glory. Think of what He can do, of how He delights to hear Christ, of your place in Christ; and expect great things.

Prayer Series ~ Day 14

DAY 14

WHAT TO PRAY: For The Church Of The Future

Psalm 78:8
8And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God.

Isaiah 44:3
3For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:

Pray for the rising generation who are to come after us. Think of the young men and young women and children of this age, and pray for all the agencies at work among them; that in associations and societies and unions, in homes and schools, Christ may be honored, and the Holy Spirit get possession of them. Pray for the young of your own neighborhood.

HOW TO PRAY: With The Whole Heart

Psalm 20:1,4
1The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;4Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.

Psalm 21:2
2Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.

Psalm 119:145
145I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord: I will keep thy statutes.

God lives and listens to every petition with His whole heart. Each time we pray, the whole infinite God is there to hear, He asks that in each prayer the whole man shall be there, too; that we shall cry with our whole heart. Christ gave Himself to God for men; and so He takes up every need into His intercession. If once we seek God with our whole heart, the whole heart will be in every prayer with which we come to this God. Pray with your whole heart for the young.

Prayer Series ~ Day 13

DAY 13

WHAT TO PRAY: For The Spirit Of Burning\

Isaiah 4:3,4
3And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: 4When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

A washing by fire! A cleansing by judgment! He that has passed through this shall be called Holy. The power of blessing for the world, the power of work and intercession that will avail, depends upon the spiritual state of the church; and that can only rise higher as sin is discovered and put away. Judgment must begin at the house of God. There must be conviction of sin for sanctification. Beseech God to give His Spirit as a spirit of judgment and a spirit of burning--to discover and burn out sin in His people.

HOW TO PRAY: In The Name Of Christ

John 14: 13,14

13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Ask in the name of your redeemer God, who sits upon the throne. Ask what He has promised, what He gave His blood for, that sin may be put away from among His people. Ask--the prayer is after His own heart--for the spirit of deep conviction of sin to come among His people. Ask for the spirit of burning. Ask in the faith of His name--the faith of what He wills, of what He can do--and look for the answer. Pray that the church may be blessed, to be made a blessing in the world.

Tuesday, October 9, 2012

Prayer Series ~ Day 12

DAY 12

WHAT TO PRAY: For the Spirit to Convince the World of Sin

John 16:7,8

7Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
8And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

God's one desire, the one object of Christ's being manifested, is to take away sin. The first work of the Spirit on the world is conviction of sin. Without that, no deep or abiding revival, no powerful conversion. Pray for it, that the gospel may be preached in in such power of the Spirit, that men may see that they have rejected and crucified Christ and cry out, What shall we do?

Pray most earnestly for a mighty power of conviction of sin wherever the gospel is preached.

HOW TO PRAY: Stir Up Yourself To Take Hold Of God's Strength

Isaiah 27:5
5Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.

Isaiah 64:7
7And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.

2 Timothy 1:6
6Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

First, take hold of God's strength. God is a Spirit. I cannot take hold of Him and hold Him fast, but by the Spirit. Take hold of God's strength, and hold on 'til it has done for you what He has promised. Pray for the power of the Spirit to convict of sin.

Second, stir up yourself, the power that is in you by the Holy Spirit, to take hold. Give your whole heart and will to it, and say, I will not let Thee go except Thou bless me.

Prayer Series ~ Day 11

Day 11

WHAT TO PRAY: For More Laborers

Matthew 9:38
38Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

What a remarkable call of the Lord Jesus for help from His disciples in getting the need supplied. What an honor put upon prayer. What a proof that God wants prayer and will hear it.

Pray for laborers, for all students in theological seminaries, training homes, Bible institutes, that they may not go unless He fits them and sends them forth; that our churches may train their students to seek for the sending forth of the Holy Spirit; that all believers may hold themselves ready to be sent forth, or to pray for those who can go.

HOW TO PRAY: In Faith, Nothing Doubting

Mark 11:22,23

22And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Have faith in God! Ask Him to make Himself known to you as the faithful, mighty God, who worketh all in all; and you will be encouraged to believe that He can give suitable and sufficient laborers, however impossible this appears. But, remember, in answer to prayer and faith.

Apply this to every opening where a good worker is needed. The work is God's. He can give the right workman. But He must be asked and waited on.

Prayer Series ~ Day 10

DAY 10

WHAT TO PRAY: For God's Spirit on our Missionaries

Acts 1:8
8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

What the world needs today is, not only more missionaries, but the outpouring of God's Spirit on everyone whom He has sent out to work for Him in the foreign field.

God always gives his servants power equal to the work He asks of them. Think of the greatness and difficulty of this work--casting out Satan out of his strongholds--and pray that everyone who takes part in it may receive and do all his work in the power of the Holy Ghost. Think of the difficuties of your missionaries, and pray for them.

HOW TO PRAY: Trusting God's Faithfulness

Hebrews 10:23; 11:11
23Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
11Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

Just think of God's promises to His Son, concerning His kingdom; to the church, concerning the heathen; to His servants, concerning their work; to yourself, concerning your prayer; and pray in the assurance that He is faithful and only waits for prayer and faith to fulfill them. "Faithful is he that calleth you" (to pray), "who also will do it" (what He has promised) (I Thess. 5:24).

Take up individual missionaries, make yourself one with them, and pray 'til you know that you are heard. Oh' begin to live for Christ's kingdom as the one thing worth living for!

Prayer Series ~ Day 9

DAY 9

WHAT TO PRAY: For God's Spirit on our Mission Work

Acts 13:2-4

2As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. 3And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. 4So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.

The evangelization of the world depends first of all upon a revival of prayer. Deeper than the need for men--aye, deep down at the bottom of our spiritless life, is the need for the forgotten secret of prevailing, worldwide prayer.

Pray that our mission work may all be done in this spirit--waiting on God, hearing the voice of the spirit, sending forth men with fasting and prayer. Pray that in our churches our mission interest and mission work may be in the power of the Holy Spirit and of prayer. It is a Spirit-filled, praying church that will send out Spirit-filled missionaries mighty in prayer.

HOW TO PRAY: Take Time

Psalm 109:4
4For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

Acts 6:4
4But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

Ecclesiastes 5:2
2Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.

Luke 6:12
12And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

Time is one of the chief standards of value. The time we give is a proof of the interest we feel.

We need time with God--to realize His presence; to wait for Him to make Himself known; to consider and feel the needs we plead for; to take our place in Christ; to pray 'til we can believe that we have received. Take time in prayer, and pray down blessing on the mission work of the church.

Prayer Series ~ Day 8

Day 8

WHAT TO PRAY: For the Spirit on all Christian Workers

2 Corinthians 1:11

Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

What multitudes of workers in connection with our churches and missions, our railways and postmen, our soldiers and sailors, our young men and young women, our fallen men and women, our poor and sick. God be praised for this! What could they accomplish if each were living in the fullness of the Holy Spirit! Pray for them; it makes you a partner in their work, and you will praise God each time you hear of blessing anywhere.

HOW TO PRAY: With Definite Petitions

Luke 18:41

Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.

The Lord knew what the man wanted, and yet He asked him. The utterance of our wish gives point to the transaction in which we are engaged with God, and so awakens faith and expectation. Be very definite in your petitions, so as to know what answer you may look for. Just think of the great host of workers, and ask and expect God definitely to bless them in answer to the prayers of His people. Then ask still more definitely for workers around you. Intercession is not the breathing out of pious wishes; its aim is, in believing, persevering prayer, to receive and bring down blessing.

Prayer Series ~ Day 7

Day 7

WHAT TO PRAY: For the Power of the Holy Spirit on Ministers

Romans 15:30
30 Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

2 Corinthians 1:10,11
10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us; 11 Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

What a great host of ministers there are in Christ's church. What need they have of prayer. What a power they might be, if they were all clothed with the power of the Holy Ghost. Pray definitely for this; long for it. Think of your own minister, and ask it very specially for him. Connect every thought of the ministry, in our town or neighborhood or world, with the prayer that all may be filled with the Spirit. Plead for them the promise, "Tarry...until ye be endued with power from on high." "Ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you."

HOW TO PRAY: In Secret

Matthew 6:6
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Matthew 14:23
23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

John 6:15
15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.

Take time and realize, when you are alone with God: Here am I now, face-to-face with God, to intercede for His servants. Do not think you have no influence or that your prayer will not be missed. Your prayers and faith will make a difference. Cry in secret to God for His ministers.
