Friday ~ March 30, 2012 Devotional


Psalms 105:1
O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.


Colossians 3:17
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Pray to open doors of opportunity, open the hearts of those seeking, and open your mouth to share. Telling someone about Jesus must always begin with prayer. Pray that God will increase your awareness of opportunities. Pray that God will prepare the hearts of those you will be sharing with. Pray for His words, strength, and courage for you to share when He reveals those opportunities every day. Take a moment every day to pray this prayer, "Lord, bless my eyes that I might see Your opportunities. Soften the hearts of those I will meet. And give me the courage to share You with them."


Psalm 129:8
Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the Lord be upon you: we bless you in the name of the Lord.


Tell someone to have a "blessed day". Similar to giving thanks to God, try telling someone to have a "blessed" instead of just a "good" day. 
Consider telling someone that "I hope God blesses your meeting" instead of just "good luck."


God, help us to be those who not only know all that really matters, but those who truly live in light of it.
